Payne Racing secures two lots on Day 1 of Inglis Easter Yearling Sale

With the pinnacle of the Australians yearling sale season, the Inglis Easter yearling sale offering buyers the opportunity to access some of the best bloodlines and conformed horses that breeders have to offer, Payne Racing were fortunate enough to secure two yearlings on the first day of the sale.

Purchased by Payne Racing in conjunction with South Africa’s Nordic Racing & Breeding from the draft of Segenhoe, Lot 103 is a colt by Vinery Stud’s Champion 3YO colt All Too Hard.

The second living foal of the Listed winner Swiss Rose, herself a daughter of the stakes placed Finishing School, who is in turn a half-sister to the Group 2 winner Catnipped, the impressive looking colt (pictured below) will race in the colours of South Africa’s largest owners Markus and Ingrid Jooste.

Knowing the pedigree well, the Jooste’s race the Group 3–winning, Group 1 placed Rich Girl who appears in the third dam of the colt.

The second yearling purchased at the sale was Lot 146, an impressive looking colt by Coolmore's Champion So You Think, a winner of 10 Group 1 races during his stellar international career.

Having only had a handful of runners to date from his first crop, So You Think has been represented by the Group 2 winner Gold Rush as well as the Listed placed Conscious.

Secured from the draft of Luskin Park Stud, the colt (pictured below) is out of the Listed-winning, Group 2 placed Redoute’s Choice mare Whoever and comes from the family of Group 3 winners Speedy Natalie and Sweet And Speedy.

Redoute’s Choice as a broodmare sire has a great record to date highlighted by Group 1 winners Sacred Falls, Zoustar, Stay With Me and Pasadena Girl, as well as this season’s Group 2-winning juvenile stakes winners Souchez and Kiss And Make Up.
