ACE HIGH WINS THE VICTORIAN DERBY

ACE HIGH has won the Victorian Derby.

It was a tense few moments in the back stretch, but a determined run in the home straight saw the son of High Chaparral (IRE) Land his biggest victory to date.

It was the first Group 1 win for David at Flemington, but this Group 1 victory marked another significant milestone for David, as it was the 107th of his career.

It was a team effort and kudos must go to winning rider Tye Angland, who didn't panic and produced Ace High to finish off the race at the right time.

We would also like to thank owner John Cordina who has been a loyal patron to the yard since our arrival in Australia back in 2002.

We are so pleased to have won another big race and made it back to back Group 1's with Ace High.

In the end it was a convincing win for the talented stayer and we are over the moon it has all worked out for him.
