Dream Result At Wyong

An early Easter basket of goodies arrived for the connections of Dream Circle on Thursday when the 3yo son of former Emirates Park shuttle stallion Dream Ahead scored at Wyong for the David Payne Racing Stable.

Achieving his third success, the Aston Bloodstock, Mrs R J Mula, Lucky Owners Pty Ltd, Mr W M Shelton, Mrs S E Shelton, Mr A J Mitchell, D & M Payne Racing, Mr G W Aldridge, Mrs S G Aldridge, Mr S P Loane, Mr P J Rizk, Mr W A Wilkins and Mr P S Farrugia-owned gelding raced handy for jockey Serg Lisnyy after a good get away from the barriers.

As the field headed towards the home turn, the leaders started to show signs of fatigue and Lisnyy was forced to pull Dream Circle off their heels to try and obtain some clear running.

Getting the better of the Paul Cave-trained The Cartoonist who had taken the lead, Dream Circle scored by a narrow margin, but the manner in which he won suggested the Magic Millions purchased yearling still had plenty to offer.

A half-brother to the former stable raced Bold Circle (Bernardini), who had finished third on his debut in the Listed Breeders’ Plate, Dream Circle has now greeted the judge on three occasions for his connections, and with two of those wins coming from his last three starts, the gelding is clearly experiencing a purple patch of form.
